Austin ISD’s new unified enrollment system, Enroll Austin launched on November 8th, 2023.
Why it matters: The new system will make registration more accessible and equitable by:
Simplifying the registration process,
Saving families time, and
Helping families better understand and access their school options.
The details: For the 2024-25 enrollment cycle, the new system will consolidate the following applications into one streamlined system: Online Registration, Online Student Transfer Request, Common Application and Pre-K Application.
What’s new: Students who are considering more than one school option—including school transfers and application-based programs—will be able to rank up to seven programs or campuses.
In early March, the system will run an assignment process that seeks to assign each applicant to their highest ranked school or program based on eligibility and availability of seats.
Registration will be split into Priority and General registration periods.
Some special programs only accept applications during Priority Registration.
Families who wait for the General Registration period are less likely to get into their top ranked school or program.
Next Steps: Start exploring what’s new by visiting the Enroll Austin website.
Please note: Families will continue to use Online Registration, Online Transfer Request, and Pre-K Application for the current 2023-24 school year.
Make sure you have an Austin ISD Parent Portal account!
Parents/Guardians can use Parent Self-Serve via the AISD Portal to access their student’s educational information such as grades, assignments, schedule and attendance, and also register for the next school year.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED EVERY YEAR!
PRE-K PARENTS MUST ALSO COMPLETE THE PRE-K APPLICATION!
