Kids ages 5 - 9 are invited to register for the FREE Swim Safe program provided by Austin Parks and Recreation and the Austin American-Statesman. Statesman Swim Safe is a nonprofit program addressing the critical need for accessible swimming instruction and teaches kids the basics of swimming in order to be safe around water. Lessons are 30-40 minutes depending on age and ability level. Kids must have an adult onsite at all times.
Classes are offered at the following recreation centers. Please contact one of the recreation centers listed below to sign up. Participants must meet financial eligibility requirements to participate. Dates and times vary.
